Pinewood Derby 2012

Nathan LOVED his first pinewood derby. He sat and listened so well. His car on the other had - did not do so well. One of the axels was bent so he was the last car in everytime, but he couldnt have cared less. He ran with his car each race down to the finish line. Chad was on a business trip that weekend so Grandpa O'Loughlin happily came and filled in.

Fun at the Farm

Last weekend a local farm had free admission so we took the kids out. We had a great time riding horses, petting rabbits, and feeding goats. I was surprised when Nathan and Alison wanted to get on the horses but they really enjoyed themselves.

That time of year

Its pinewood derby time! Nathan has only been to one pack meeting (is that what theyre called?) And he seemed to really like it. Chad and Nathan have been working on his car for next Saturday

Happy 8th Birthday Nathan!

Nathan's 8th birthday started out with our traditional pictures. The day before we celebrated by taking the kids up to the snow. (more pictures to come)

He had a great time receiving presents from Grandma's and Grandpas. The only gift we told them was Transformers - so that's what he got. He was so excited. Unfortunately he didnt get the hang of it right wasy so it took adult minds to figure them out -but once he got it he was a champ!

New Years Eve

We had a great New Year's Eve with friends. It was filled with food, fireworks, games and lots and lots of laughter. We always have such a fun time with this group.

This picture is fuzzy but it helps document the huge spread of food that we gorged on all night.

One of our fun and most memorable activites of the night was attempting (successfully!) to make mozzarella cheese. I recommend trying it!
