Happy Birthday yesterday to me. It was a great day filled with love on my door from ward friends, a Last Chance trip (thanks for babysitting Preston!) and finished up at Cheesecake Factory. When we got to Cheesecake we were wondering why a Monday night was so busy. Turns out my birthday is National Cheesecake Day! Why did I not know this?!!
Chad gave me an extra special/generous birthday gift: a new sewing machine. I am so happy when I work on it. I dont get frustrated and I feel like I am actually as good as I thought I was. My old machine was holding me back! :)

Even more summertime...

We've enjoyed more swimming, more KidsClub at the mall and huge HABOOBS

"I bit the countertop"

The granite countertop. Its not for biting. I wish Nathan wouldnt have fell into it and broke his tooth, his permanent tooth, in half.
We have gotten it "fixed" - they just fill in the missing space, but it wont be until he's about 18 that he will get the crown that is needed.

Summertime continued

This summer has been pretty low key. For the most part the kids have a good time keeping themselves busy.
Alison has been enjoying dressing up:


Caitlyn has enjoyed a two week sewing class:


and Nathan has been writing music that he sees on Little Einsteins. Our summer has had ALOT of piano playing as Nathan has been plunking out any song that he hears. He's getting pretty good for being self-taught.

Chad and I just had our 12th anniversary. We celebrated by a low key night out and slurging on a Blendtec. We look forward to the next year full of smoothies! :)

Happy Birthday Erin!

We like to celebrate birthdays and its no surprise that Sarah and I like to throw a party - so when Erin's birthday came around we were happy to plan a "Minute to Win it Party"!

We had a lot of fun, and looked ridiculous. The kids enjoyed participating and watching us make fools of ourselves. Highly recommended!
