YEAR SUPPLY

Im giving a lot of thought to our year supply right now - mainly because it is not a year supply. We'd be lucky to last a couple of months. REALLY lucky.
I want to beef it up, but am unsure where to begin.
Anyone have ideas? What has helped you?

I am seriously considering just buying the ready-made-delivered to your door supply. That's really my style, but it definitely is more expensive.

We bought the "Thrive" food storage and had it delivered to our door. It had a fun assortment of things, but I think a lot of this stuff is hard to rotate. We eat mostly fresh fruits & veggies, grains, & meat..so, items like dehydrated vegetables and fruits are really hard to use in daily eating. I'm looking to bottle more meats, beans, and fruits which would be a lot easier to rotate thru...more work, more time, but definitely easier to rotate. just my two cents.... : ) Summer (with a weird relief society sign-on name)

Year supply is something I think alot about. I started little by little. If I had 2 cream of chix on my list I'd buy 4. There are certain things I buy everytime even if I don't need it. Like Enchalada sauce, pato sauce, refried beans, pasta sauce. These things are staples around here so they get used and I usually have alot of it. Walmart does have year supply stuff. Check that out. I've started to buy a can every time I go. I also can chix. It's so much better than the canned stuff at Costco and I can usually find chix on sale for super cheap at Walmart.
