We lasted 5 1/2 years at our house without breaking any bones on our children. Monday night was the end of that streak. While showing her friends the proper way to dismount the top bunk, Caitlyn landed wrong and broke her littlest piggy. She will be getting some type of cast on Tuesday, but we hope that it wont ruin our San Diego trip next week.

Poor little piggy! I didn't know they cast toes, hopefully you vacay still is happy!
Thanks Heather! They acutally dont cast toes. She broke it in her foot - it's just the bone that goes into her small toe. We just found out today that she broke it 4mm away from a growth plate, so that's good news!
I have found a great waterproof cast cover, so she will be at the beach in style!
